What is DTG printing?
Direct to garment, or DTG, is a method of decorating apparel or other items. Think of it as a printer for clothing. The DTG printer sprays ink onto an item and allows it to soak into the fibers for a easy and clean finish.
How does DTG printing work?
DTG printers work by spraying a water-based ink onto a fabric where it soaks into the garments’ fibers. A pre-treatment solution is used first to help the ink bond into the fibers. Next, the item is placed into the printer and is finished in just a few minutes. Lastly, the item goes through a curing process in order to make the print long lasting.
DTG works best with 100% cotton, but triblends or other cotton blends will also work.

What type of designs work best with DTG?
